    Barbados molasses is the clean liquid that’s made from the evaporation of sugar cane juice, after the commercially crystallized sugar has been removed. It has a standard colour and flavour, no off odours and is unsulphured.

  • Uses

    Barbados molasses can be used as a natural colourant, sweetener, humectant and leavening agent. It is found in a number of familiar foods such as baked beans, barbecue sauces, meat sauces, brown or specialty breads, ginger breads, minced meat, table syrup and confections.

  • Storage

    Molasses should be stored at or below 20˚C and shelf life is expected to be 12 months.
