New! Pea Protein Powder

with Pea Protein Powder

Pea has a distinctive taste and texture which most kids disliked. Some of you might have even been scolded by your parents for being picky about them. Fast forward to present day. Who would have thought we’d be eating peas in powder form now? Don’t freak out yet. Pea protein powder is actually so much more than the yellow peas you once despised. In fact, it is one of the best plant-based proteins you can have if you are on a restricted diet. It is vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and soy-free!

Pea protein stands out among other non-dairy proteins for being rich in all nine essential amino acids, except methionine. Most impressively, it contains almost as much leucine as the popular whey protein. Leucine is fantastic for muscle building and recovery. Pea protein is also helpful in increasing satiety, promoting weight loss and supporting heart health. It contains 79% protein and scores very high on protein digestibility, which studies found is better for muscle growth in the long term.

Before you say no to this product, you need to try it yourself first. The earthy flavour of pea protein powder goes unnoticed when blended into your favourite post-workout shakes. With its chalky texture, it works best with chocolate, banana, berries and coconut. It is also an amazing addition to baked treats such as cookies and muffins, and can be used to substitute for flour.
