New! Kelp Sea Salt

with Organic Kelp Powder

Kelp salt is a combination of fine sea salt and kelp powder. But to begin with, what are the benefits of kelp and what exactly is it?

Kelp is a type of seaweed and staple ingredient in Japanese, Korean and Chinese cuisines. Although it is only gaining popularity in the West recently, kelp has been named a ‘Superfood’ due to its impressive health benefits. It is rich in iodine – a trace mineral found in sea water known to promote a healthy thyroid and weight loss. Eating foods rich in iodine may enhance metabolism and support cognitive function.

Kelp salt is a great replacement of regular table salt. You can add it to your eggs, avocados, potatoes and many other savoury dishes for a boost in nutrition and flavour. Because it is so rich in minerals, you can commonly find kelp in skin care products including soaps, lotions and bath salts. Combined with heat, kelp can penetrate through the skin to draw out impurities!
