Macadamia nuts (Macadamia integrifolia) are native to eastern Australia. They are a round, white, nut with a delicate, buttery flavour and smooth texture.

Macadamia nuts can be eaten as a snack or used in baked goods, ice cream, salads, roasts and casseroles. They can be roasted or enjoyed raw.

Storage
Because of their high fat content, macadamia nuts must be stored in a dry, cool place, away from heat and light, for an estimated shelf life of 6 months. To extend shelf life recommended storage temperature is between 35-45°F.
