  • Uses

Sesame seeds are usually toasted before using and are excellent additions to soups, salads, fish and baked goods. Another common way to use sesame seeds is to grind them into tahini, sesame butter, or a Middle Eastern dessert known as halvah. Tahini and sesame butter are good as a spread on crackers or bread, and in salad dressings or sauces.

  • Storage

Product should be stored in a dry, clean area at a temperature not exceeding 15˚C or 60% relative humidity. Shelf life will be 6 months under proper storage conditions. Store sesame seeds in an airtight container in a cool, dark place. Once the seeds are ground or are in the form of tahini or sesame butter, they should be kept under refrigeration.
