  • Description

Wild rice is a pure organic food grown naturally without the aid of chemicals, fertilizers, or insecticides. Westpoint Natural’s Organic Wild Rice is grown in Manitoba’s northern lake country, where the long daylight hours and clear water combine to produce a long grained, high-quality wild rice.

  • Directions

Rinse well. Stir 1 cup rice into 3 cups boiling water. Simmer covered for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand, covered, for 1 hour. Drain and stir into 3 cups fresh boiling water. Simmer covered for 25-30 minutes until kernels puff open to reveal the white interior. Drain excess water and season to taste.

  • Uses

Wild rice can be used as a nutritious, delicious alternative or additive to white rice in most recipes.

  • Storage

Uncooked wild rice will store indefinitely if kept in an airtight container and stored in a cool, dry place.
