  • Description

    This whole bean flour is made from natural, Ontario-grown dried organic Romano beans.

  • Directions

    Use up to 30% Romano bean flour in a mix to keep the bean flavour from overwhelming the recipe. Depending on the mix, it may require slightly less than a full cup to substitute for a cup of wheat flour. Before measuring, stir the bean flour lightly with a fork or spoon to aerate and lighten it. Lightly spoon it into the appropriate dry measure and smooth off the top with a straight edge.

  • Uses

    Whole bean flour will give a light brown colour and a mild bean taste to baked products. Romano bean flour is a dark coloured flour best used for richly flavoured recipes in which the bean taste will not be overpowering, such as those with spices, chocolate, or nuts.

  • Storage

    Product should be stored in a dry, cool area at a temperature not exceeding 20˚C. Under these conditions, optimum shelf life will be 10 months.
