  • Description

Soy protein isolate is a readily dispersible soy protein that functions both as an emulsifier and an emulsion stabilizer. Since it has a low flavour and odour profile, soy protein can be an excellent food supplement, especially if one does not enjoy soy taste from tofu or soy milk.

  • Ingredients

    Isolated soy protein.

  • Uses

Soy protein powder may be combined with sweet dairy whey for use as a non-fat dry milk replacer in various foods such as margarine, batters, and confections. It may also be used in imitation dairy type products, nutritional applications, and sauces.
For an instant breakfast drink, mix the following in a blender: 1 cup 2% milk, 1 tbsp nutritional yeast, 1 tbsp honey, 2 tbsp soy protein, 3 tbsp non-fat dry milk, 1 egg, 2 tbsp roasted carob powder.

  • Storage

Shelf life is expected to be one year when stored in unopened packs under normal, ambient conditions (recommended maximum temperature of 75˚F).
