Community and Environment
Westpoint Distributors Ltd. is committed to taking care of our community and our environment. We delight in providing our customers with healthy, natural food, and we are always looking for new ways to decrease our environmental impact while doing so.
Environment
- All of our office paper is sustainably sourced through the Sustainable Forestry Initiative.
- Most of our plastic waste is recycled, including plastic bags and pallet wrap, by the lovely folks at West Coast Plastic Recycling.
- Our
facility is bullfrogpowered® with 100% green electricity. Bullfrog Power will inject renewable electricity onto the BC grid to match the amount of electricity used in our office and warehouse. Bullfrog’s electricity in BC comes exclusively from the Bear Mountain Wind Park which has been certified as low impact by Environment Canada under its EcoLogoM program instead of from higher impact sources including large hydro dams or fossil-fueled generation facilities.

Community
- Westpoint publishes information booklets on various subjects including “Whole Grains in Motion”, “Fruit, Nuts, Seeds”, and the very popular “Gluten Free Living”. Ask for them at your local health food store. If you appreciate these booklets, please donate generously to the Canadian Cancer Society.
